Christopher John Cheney (born 2 January 1975) is a prominent Australian rock musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Best known as the founding guitarist and lead vocalist of the multi-platinum rockabilly-punk band The Living End, Cheney formed the group in Melbourne in 1994 alongside schoolmate Scott Owen. Inspired early on by bands like AC/DC and the Stray Cats, Cheney quickly established himself as one of Australia’s most dynamic guitarists and primary songwriters.
