Born in 1972,João Melo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Acting and a teaching qualification from the School of Music and Performing Arts, having received the Eng. Antônio de Almeida Award upon graduation. He participated in the Erasmus Program at the Faculty of Arts and Education of Ripon & York (affiliated with the University of Leeds) and the 2005 Thierry Salmon Project, a European initiative for actors.
