Trevor Hawkins’s unique aesthetic and appetite for cinema, wildlife and adventure have earned him an EMMY, three Vimeo Staff-Picks, the title “Exceptional Filmmaker” from National Geographic and worldwide acclaim throughout the film, television and commercial industries. Hawkins wore many hats on his first feature film, Lotawana, including writer, director, cinematographer, editor and colorist. He is currently in-development of his next movies. Twenty years after their genocide, he was hired by the President of Rwanda to create a film to rebrand the country’s image to the rest of the world. Although not a hunter himself, Hawkins is credited for dramatically reforming the creative and story-telling standards of the hunting industry with the hit show, Heartland Bowhunter.
