Between 1948 and 1956 a total of 400,000 criminal proceedings were launched against peasants, primarily people registered as kulaks. The documentary by András Sipos and Pál Závada examines in detail the story behind three cases of arson. In interviews made between 1987-1989, they were able to speak to the individuals concerned, to tell their story to the world and at least in this way to give them some symbolic restitution.
