Due to budget cuts, the photography department at a prestigious art academy is relocated to an abandoned quartz mine beneath the academy building. A new professor arrives with an experimental pedagogy that forbids the use of cameras and challenges students to "renew their vision" by stripping away the lens’s influence on perception.
