The film outlines scenes and follows the promise-payers of Tambor de São Benedito, which takes place in Anajatuba, in the interior of Maranhão. With the so-called Punga dos Homens, the male figure is considered the protagonist within the dance and the entire dynamics of the rituals that are recorded.
