Gongneum, driven to the brink of death by school violence, awakens from a three-year coma. Following Yeosunji, a shaman who claims to know about her memories and her family's whereabouts, she heads to Ahopsan Forest. There she encounters the bullies, including their ringleader Kim Gayoung, and confronts memories of her forgotten past. Inspired by the real Ahopsan Forest in Busan, the dense bamboo grove becomes a space suspended between reality and the otherworld, where spirits of those who died unnatural deaths wander and "parasitic spirits" — restless souls that inhabit other bodies—begin to consume the forest.
